St. Margaret School Award
The American Legion School Award Program is designed to place emphasis on the development of the qualities of courage, honor, leadership, patriotism, scholarship and service in students and consists of the Medallion and Certificate. This award is presented to a member of the graduation class of 2017.

St. Margaret Essay Contest
Each year Post 356 sponsors an essay contest for Memorial Day for the 7th and 8th grade classes at St. Margaret School. The topic selected by the Post Essay Committee this year was: "Why Do We have an Honor Guard for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier"
First place---------Gold essay medal with certificate and $150
Jordan Maddox 8th Grade
Second place----Silver essay medal with certificate and $100.
Emma Karn 8th Grade
Third place-------Bronze essay medal with certificate and $50.
Nora Paller 7th Grade
